You might have noticed things look a little bit different around here…
To me, summer has always been the season that has made me feel the most like myself. The cicadas are singing, the water is warm, the sun bakes my skin and makes my senses come alive. And so with summer in full swing, it felt like it was time to revive my brand in a way that reflected the glowy magic of this season.
In the same way that I approach all of my series, I gathered a series of images and sketches that really spoke to who I wanted this brand to be.
MOODBOARD
I also thought long and hard about where my brand is, what I wanted it to be, who it is for. Some key phrases that popped up along this discovery were “tiny, special moments”, “things that make the heart swell”, “shared experiences between strangers”, and “natural bodies of light—sun, moon, and stars”.
Once we had a general idea of who Blakely Made was, it was time to start playing with designs.
We knew that blues and golden tones and creams were the way to go. The wordmark needed to be sophisticated enough to speak to our lovely patrons, but fun enough to evoke the whimsy of a Blakely Made original. Heavenly bodies and sea creatures had a huge influence on the way the brand was visually manifested.
When it all came together, it felt so right…just magic.
So, without further ado, we are proud to present the new look and feel of Blakely Made. We are so excited to share this brand with you and hope that you find it just as charming and timeless as we do.

The brand utilizes my handwriting as a graphic element and a way to add my personality to print and web applications.
THE FOUR VERSIONS OF THE BLAKELY MADE LOGO
We took this brand and applied it to all of our packaging pieces and parts so that it's the first thing you experience before opening your new print or painting. We created a custom tissue paper with the "Blakely Made School of Fish" pattern, printed logo stickers and ordered our seal to emboss on closure stickers. It really brings a splash of joy to the packaging process!

This is absolutely beautiful branding! I only know you from IG but it does seem to truly represent you, which is lovely and authentic.
Strange question, but who are the artists in the books you hold in the last picture? The colors are beautiful.
