I feel so grateful to spend another year making art and sharing it with you all. Here are a few snippets from the year:
---

THE MOST LOVED PRINT WAS... 'Everybody's Home'

Runner ups were 'Shells of the Atlantic' and 'Retreat'

MY FAVORITE PAINTINGS FROM EACH COLLECTION THIS YEAR WERE...

Ode to the Marsh - Marsh in Stone

Coastal Path - Sun Sails

Charleston Garden - Longer Days

Al Fresco - Scampi ('Under the Oranges' Print) and Cypress Shade

SMS - Seaside No. 3 ('Twinkling Sky' Print) and Watermelon Glow

THE SERIES THAT WAS THE HARDEST TO WORK ON AND WHY... 'Al Fresco'

I was early in my pregnancy and about halfway through creating the collection, the morning sickness set in. Painting the different table settings with food did not help! A handful of the pieces only have fruits and vegetables because it was all I could bare to paint!

SOMETHING NEW I TRIED WAS...

hosting a Charleston Painting Workshop! It was such a delight to have everyone in my studio and be able to walk around my beloved city. **If you are interested in participating in a future workshop, join our specific email list below to be the first to receive information early and have first dibs on signing up!

THE MOST WATCHED REEL WAS...

Announcing the 'Al Fresco' collection with 24.8k views!

MY FAVORITE COLOR I USED THIS YEAR WAS...

Ash Blue by Charvin

MY FAVORITE MEMORY FROM THE STUDIO THIS PAST YEAR WAS...

when my Studio Director, Brooke, told me she was also pregnant! We are both having boys in the spring and could not be more excited!

A GOAL I HAD AND REACHED WAS...

being featured as a Serena & Lily Spotlight Artist! I created an exclusive collection titled "A Coastal Evening".

THE PERSON WHO INSPIRED MY PAINTINGS THE MOST WAS...

Probably Reath Design! They design rooms and homes that feel like paintings. Airy and clean, yet colorful lots of pattern. I feel like one of my Al Fresco pieces would feel right at home in their designs.

A CHANGE THAT HAPPENED THIS YEAR WAS...

Mama G (my mom!) started working for me! Once or twice a week she is shipping out prints to you! It has been so fun having her in the studio, she keeps things lively and silly, but also gets down to work when it comes to making sure everyone’s getting their pieces.

MY FAVORITE EMAIL OR COMMENT I RECEIVED WAS...

this sweet surprise from a client who purchased a painting for his wife:

"My wife has been an admirer of your work for several years. She was excited to see this piece still available and didn't want to miss out on another one of your pieces that she really enjoyed... I knew how much she has been wanting to own one of your works. For four years she has kept the large space empty across from our bed - waiting to find a piece that she would love ending and starting every day with. I remembered how much she has been drawn to several pieces from your previous renditions of the Sun, Moon, and Sea collections.

I ordered "The Deep of Nightthe following day, not wanting her to miss out again. In my head I began to make exciting plans of surprising her with it up on the wall unexpectedly. Then the reality set in of her checking the site later to find the piece marked sold. Thinking once more she had "missed out", being filled with regret of not immediately purchasing the piece, crestfallen.

Excited for the piece's arrival and for my wife to fulfill her dream of owning one of your works!"

THE MOST LOVED PRODUCT WAS... Playing Cards

We made these cards back in 2020 and they are still one of my favorite products I've ever made! The perfect way to spend those days in between Christmas and New Years.

A NEW SERIES I'M THINKING OF DOING FOR 2024...

Either coast of California, in a really cool natural palette like these illustrations I did from our trip.

OR

The English countryside… I went to the Cotswolds this passed fall and was really inspired by the rolling hills, farm land, and quaint towns!

Cheers to another year of just magic!
