It’s hard to describe the magic of Melisses. A step on the island of Andros feels like going back in time, to some place wild and free.
The ‘En Plein Air’ retreat gathered participants from all over the globe, learning from each other from the start, and laughing to the point of tears by the end of the week.
Alongside the sea and under this under the sun we spent the week focused on REST + PLAY. We reminded each of other of the way our creativity is born from playing with colors and shape, resting and engaging with our surroundings.
I was rejuvenated by the rocky terrain, crashes of the sea, and conversations with other creatives. I learned the natural dying process from Kathryn Davey, indulged in new delicious recipes by the ladies of Melisses and Letitia Clark, and of course plenty of painting!
I am deeply grateful for the experience of the ‘En Plein Air’ workshop at Melisses.
