Our Month in Greece

Our Month in Greece

In February, I pitched to Curtis the idea of going to Greece for the month of June. Slowly but surely, the trip came to fruition. We partnered with hotels on different islands every weekend and while that was so magical, it wasn't sustainable for a month long trip. So, during the week we stayed in a great little Airbnb in Nauosa, a small seaside town on the island of Paros. Curtis kept East Coast hours for work so we were adventuring during the day, and working from 4pm to midnight.  Here is a little glimpse into the our daily life in...

Greece - Packing your paints!

Greece - Packing your paints!

I got a lot of questions about traveling with painting supplies, and I am going to try and explain my whole process here.  #1 Rule of Traveling with Paint... Don't call it paint! Your paints are now 'Artist Colors' and they are allowed to travel with you. According to the FAA watercolors, acrylic and oils are all allowed, but solvents, brush cleaner, paint thinners are not. 'Al Fresco' Tablecloth

'Al Fresco' Tablecloth

In our wedding vows, Curtis and I promised to live together by the sea. More than a commitment to the location of our home, it set the tone for the type of abundance we wanted to weave through our daily lives. We spent the morning fishing, casting lines in between the marsh reeds. Then we invited our friends to cook with...

'Al Fresco' - Coming Soon

'Al Fresco' - Coming Soon

It’s the ritual of sweeping the front porch, and draping linens on the old rickety garden table. It’s filling the glasses and breaking the bread. Lighting the candles and snipping some flowers for the centerpiece. As our loved ones fill chairs and benches- the food is devoured, the stories are told, and the laughter fills the humid air.   This is the art of entertaining, and the heart of ‘Al Fresco.’     Starting with large colorful pieces, I am hoping you’ll feel immersed in the scenes and joyful memories will float to your mind.   There will be two...

Shorelines of Maine

Shorelines of Maine

I’ll always remember hiking higher and higher, we stepped through the dense pines and caught a glimpse of the vast ocean - sparkling from the sun and peppered with islands. It was magnificent! My collection, Shorelines of Maine, is marked through my sketchbook in earthy tones, pointy tree tops, and dried flowers. In my mind, I’ll always remember the sound of the water draining through the stone covered shores and the crisp evening air. May these paintings bring you back to the memories created on the beautiful rugged coast of Maine.  18 Original Paintings Thursday, April 8 at 10am EST 27...
