2019 - Summer Marsh
Every summer I like to spend my evenings on the boat exploring the marsh, and during the day I am painting the scenes and feelings I experienced the evening before. I am always trying to make the pieces feel fresh and different from the year prior. This round I've focused on framing the pieces in bold color, and then pulling that into the marsh scene. I really loved create in a raw edge in the previous collections from this year, so I wanted to try and incorporate that on panel. I also spent time focusing on the juxtaposition of wide brush strokes and blocks of color versus tiny thin pencil lines. I hope you love them!
