This painting is a part of Blakely's new series called 'TROPICS'. Blakely took time to create layers of detail in plants and flowers leading up to the vast ocean. She hopes this brings back memories of adventures in the tropics, summers at the beach, and time with loved ones. The piece is painted on a birch wood panel, with a 2 inch depth, painted white.
